Hey guys! Today, we’re making a super yummy Philly Cheesesteak Casserole.
It’s got all the flavors of the classic sandwich but in a cheesy, comforting casserole form. Perfect for dinner or a special occasion. Let’s get started!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (or thinly sliced steak)
- 1 green bell pepper (diced)
- 1 onion (diced)
- 1 cup mushrooms (sliced, optional)
- 2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups cooked pasta or bread cubes (optional, for a heartier version)
Instructions:
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil or butter.
Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
Assemble the casserole: In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, mix the cooked beef, sautéed veggies, and (optional) cooked pasta or bread cubes. Top it off with shredded cheese.
Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve: Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Get ready for cheesy, beefy goodness!
