What’s up, foodies? Today, we’re making a meatloaf with a cheesy twist – Parmesan Meatloaf! 🤩 This is a total comfort food classic, but with a ton of flavor from garlic, herbs, and, of course,
Parmesan cheese! It’s super easy to make and perfect for dinner with the fam. Let’s get cookin’! 👩🍳🍽️
📝 Ingredients:
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef (or mix beef & pork for extra flavor)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for serving)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella (optional, but extra cheesy = extra yum)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
👩🍳 Directions:
- Preheat & Prep: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grab a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper to get your meatloaf ready to bake.
- Mix It Up: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, eggs, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix everything together until it’s all combined, but don’t overmix – we want it juicy! 💦
Shape the Meatloaf: Once your meat mix is ready, form it into a loaf shape and place it in your loaf pan or on your lined baking sheet. Press it down a little to make it nice and compact. 🙌
Add the Toppings: Spread the marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf to keep it moist and give it extra flavor. If you wanna go all out, sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top for a cheesy finish! 🧀
Bake It: Pop your meatloaf in the oven and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature hits 160°F (71°C). When it’s done, let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. 🍽️
Serve & Enjoy: Garnish with fresh parsley if you’re feeling fancy, slice it up, and serve with extra marinara sauce on the side. This goes great with mashed potatoes, veggies, or a big salad! 🥔🥗
