  • 6 strips bacon, chopped
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

How To Make It:

Cook the Pasta: Boil a big pot of salted water and cook your spaghetti until it’s al dente. Drain the pasta but save a little bit of that pasta water—about 1/2 cup—for later. 🍝

Cook the Bacon: While the pasta’s cooking, fry the chopped bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until it’s crispy. Remove the bacon and set it aside, but leave a little of that bacon grease in the pan for extra flavor!

Whisk the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, Parmesan cheese, and heavy cream. This is what’s gonna make your Carbonara super creamy and cheesy. 😍

Get Garlicy: In the same skillet you used for the bacon, sauté the minced garlic until it’s fragrant (about 1 minute). Be careful not to burn it!

Combine It All: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the garlic. Then, pour in your egg and cheese mixture, stirring quickly to coat the pasta and create a creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of that reserved pasta water to thin it out.

Add the Bacon: Toss in the crispy bacon and mix it all together. Give it a taste and season with salt and pepper if you need to.
