Sloppy Joe is a sandwich made with ground beef and onions in a tomato sauce, served on a hamburger bun. The sandwich was probably made in Sioux City, Iowa in the 1930s. Legend has it that the “bulk meat sandwich” was the invention of a chef named Joe.

INGREDIENTS :
500 grams.Of lean ground beef.
1 medium-diced onion.
1 medium diced green bell pepper.
2 ribs.Of celery, diced.
An 8-oz can.Of tomato sauce.
A 6-oz can.Of tomato paste.
2 Tbsp.Of Worcestershire sauce.
4 cloves garlic crushed.
1 Tbsp.Of brown sugar.
1 Tsp.Of salt.
1 Tsp.Of ground mustard.
1/2 Tsp.Of crushed red pepper flakes.
8 hamburger buns.
how to make it:
First Step
Cook the ground beef and yellow onion together in a large pan over medium-high heat, turning periodically, until the meat is browned and cooked through. This should take about 10 minutes.
Second Step
After the extra fat has been removed from the skillet, place it back over the heat.
Third Step
Add in the celery, bell pepper, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, brown sugar, salt, red pepper flakes, and powdered mustard. Stir to mix.
Fourth Step
Bring the liquid up to a simmer, then turn the heat down to medium-low. Maintain a low boil for 15 to 30 minutes. How crisp you want the veggies to determine how long you should simmer them.
