Hey guys! Today, we’re making German Potato Pancakes!
These crispy, golden pancakes are sooo good and perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. Let’s jump right into it!
Ingredients:
4 medium potatoes (peeled)
1 small onion
2 eggs
2 tbsp flour
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Oil for frying
Optional: applesauce or sour cream for serving!
Instructions:
Grate the Potatoes & Onion: Grab a grater and shred the potatoes and onion. Then, use a clean kitchen towel to squeeze out all the extra liquid. You don’t want soggy pancakes!
2.Mix It Up: In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes and onion with eggs, flour, salt, and pepper. Stir it all together until it’s a sticky mixture.
3.Heat the Oil: Heat a good amount of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. You want enough to fry the pancakes, but not so much that they’re swimming!
Fry Time: Scoop about 2 tbsp of the potato mixture for each pancake. Flatten it in the pan and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Flip carefully!
Serve & Enjoy: Serve your crispy German Potato Pancakes with applesauce, sour cream, or whatever you love. So good!
