Let’s get it poppin’!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (16 oz) ziti pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions:

1.Boil the Ziti:
First, get a big ol’ pot of water boiling and add a pinch of salt. Toss in your ziti and cook until it’s al dente—like, firm but not too hard. This should take around 8-10 minutes

2.Cook the Shrimp:
Heat up the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Throw in the minced garlic and sauté until it smells amazing, about 1 minute

3.Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until they’re pink and cooked through. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Take it off the heat and set aside.

4.Mix it Up:
In a big mixing bowl, combine your cooked ziti, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, half the mozzarella, and half the Parmesan

5.Mix it all together until it’s well combined. Gently fold in the cooked shrimp.

6.Assemble & Bake:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish (like 9×13 inches) with a little olive oil or cooking spray. Pour your ziti-shrimp mix into the dish. Top it with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.

7.Bake Time!
Pop the dish in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes until the cheese is all melty and bubbly. If you want that golden-brown top, broil it for 2-3 minutes at the end.

8.Garnish & Serve:
Take it out of the oven, sprinkle some fresh parsley on top if you’re feeling fancy, and let it cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
