Hey guys! Today, I’m making some crispy, golden goodness—Amish Onion Fritters!
They’re super simple, made with onions and a few other ingredients, but they’re packed with flavor. Perfect for a snack or side dish. Let’s get started!

Ingredients:
- 2 large onions (sliced thin)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder

- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ¾ cup milk
- Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions:
- Mix the batter: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Slowly add the milk and stir until you have a thick batter.

Add the onions: Toss the thinly sliced onions into the batter, making sure they’re all coated well.

Fry the fritters: Heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Drop spoonfuls of the onion mixture into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

Drain and serve: Remove the fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain off any excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce!
