“Learn how to make classic beef liver and onions in just a few simple steps. Tasty, nutritious, and perfect for dinner!”
Ingredients:
- 1 pound beef liver, sliced thin
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup flour (for coating)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Prep the liver: Pat the beef liver dry with paper towels, then lightly coat each slice in flour.
Cook the onions: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are soft and golden. Set aside.
Cook the liver: In the same skillet, add the rest of the olive oil and butter. Cook the floured liver slices over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
Combine: Add the cooked onions back into the skillet with the liver, stirring gently to mix them together. Cook for another minute to heat everything through.
