Easy Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf – A Cheesy Twist on a Classic!”
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork (optional, but adds flavor)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or use cheddar, mozzarella if you like!)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon ketchup (for a tangy topping)
Instructions:
- Sauté the veggies: In a small pan, cook the diced onion and bell pepper with a little oil until soft. Set aside to cool.
Mix it up: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork (if using), eggs, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add in the cooked veggies and mix everything together until it’s well combined.
Cheese time! Flatten out the meat mixture in the bowl, then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top. Carefully fold the meat mixture over the cheese so it forms a loaf and seals the cheese inside.
Shape and bake: Place the meatloaf in a baking dish and shape it into a loaf. Spread a little ketchup on top for flavor and color.
