These sausages are perfect for any occasion and pack a lot of flavor. These are cocktail sausages wrapped in bacon (and let’s face it, everything tastes better with bacon!) and seasoned with brown sugar and butter. You can use any sausage or frankfurter and any type of bacon if you like, even “turkey bacon”.

Ingredients:

  • Bacon
  • Small Sausages
  • Butter
  • Brown Sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF. 

Cut bacon slices in half and wrap each smokie with a half strip of bacon. Place all the wrapped smokies in a single layer in a baking dish, or rimmed sheet pan. Take some brown sugar and sprinkle evenly over the smokies. Bake for about 15–25 minutes or until bacon is nice and crisp (bake times will vary).

I guarantee if you make these, they will be gone! I made them for a gathering and everyone just kept eating them, and eating them.
