ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground Italian sausage (or ground beef)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (look for a low-carb one)
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni (or your fave pizza toppings like mushrooms, olives, or bell peppers)
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 medium zucchini, sliced into half moons (or use cauliflower florets)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Cook the Meat: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage (or beef) over medium-high heat until it’s no longer pink. Drain the excess fat. 💪🍖

Add Sauce & Seasonings: Stir in the marinara sauce, garlic powder, oregano, and basil. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes to mix all those yummy flavors. 🌿🍅

Layer It Up: In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread the cooked sausage mixture evenly. Layer the sliced zucchini (or cauliflower) on top. Then sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the veggies. 🍖🥒🧀
