Hey foodie fam! Today, we’re whipping up some delish Hawaiian Teriyaki Chicken that’

’ll make you feel like you’re chillin’ on a beach in Maui. 🌺 This recipe is super easy, so let’s get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup pineapple juice (fresh or canned)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (minced)
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (mixed with 2 tbsp water for slurry)
  • Pineapple chunks (optional, but so good!)
  • Sesame seeds & chopped green onions (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Prep the Chicken: Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. 🐔
  2. Make the Marinade: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. 🥣

3.Marinate: Throw the chicken into a ziplock bag, pour in the marinade, and let it hang out in the fridge for at least 30 mins. (Overnight is even better!) 🕒

Cook the Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium heat, add a bit of oil, and cook the chicken pieces until they’re nice and browned on both sides. Don’t throw away the marinade – we’ll use it!

Make the Sauce: Pour the leftover marinade into a saucepan. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat and add the cornstarch slurry. Stir until it thickens up. This sauce is liquid gold! 💛

Combine: Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and toss until it’s all coated and glossy.

Serve: Pile that tasty chicken on top of some fluffy white rice, and add some pineapple chunks for that real Hawaiian vibe. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions, and you’re good to go!
