Hey guys! If you’re craving that cozy, cheesy, pasta-packed goodness, this Classic Lasagna is gonna hit the spot!
It’s layered with sauce, noodles, and tons of cheese, so let’s get ready to bake some comfort food. 🍝🧀
Ingredients:
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage)
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1.Cook the noodles: Boil the lasagna noodles according to the package directions. Drain them and lay them flat on a baking sheet so they don’t stick together.
2.Cook the meat: In a pan, brown the ground beef (or sausage) until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the marinara sauce. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
3.Make the cheese mix: In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
4.Layer it up: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a greased baking dish, spread a little bit of meat sauce on the bottom. Layer 3 noodles over the sauce. Add a layer of the ricotta mixture, more meat sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella. Repeat these layers until everything is used up.
5.Top with cheese: For the final layer, spread some sauce on top and sprinkle with a generous amount of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Bake it: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes, garnish with fresh basil, and dig into this cheesy masterpiece!
