What’s up, y’all! Today we’re making One Pot Texas Hash, and it’s literally the easiest and tastiest comfort food ever!
It’s got ground beef, rice, and all those yummy Tex-Mex flavors in one pot. Less mess, more flavor. Let’s get started!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup white rice (uncooked)
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Optional: shredded cheese, sour cream, green onions for topping
Instructions:
1.Cook the Beef: Heat a large skillet or pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any extra fat.
2.Add Veggies: Toss in the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the veggies are soft.
3.Spice It Up: Stir in the chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let all those flavors get to know each other.
4.Mix in the Rice & Tomatoes: Add in the uncooked rice, can of diced tomatoes (with the juice), and beef broth. Give everything a good stir so it’s all mixed together.
5.Simmer Time: Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 20-25 minutes until the rice is fully cooked and absorbs all the liquid.
6.Serve It Up: Fluff it up with a fork and serve hot! Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, or green onions if you’re feeling extra.
Tips:
